Aquatic Fanatics was founded by Dan Roughan.

​

He has always loved working outside, so after leaving school in 1996 he undertook an apprenticeship studying horticulture whilst working as a gardener for Braintree Council.

​

Dan married Rachael in 2003, at the same time taking the plunge to establish a successful landscaping company. As the business took shape, Dan's passion for ponds grew beyond his own koi pond and marine fish tank, leading the company to change course...and Aquatic Fanatics was born!

​

He has a keen eye for designing and knowing exactly what is needed to create the perfect pond for any garden. From pond clean-outs to complete builds, Dan and his team take great care in whatever job they do.  From start to finish, the care of fish is their sole priority (see what we did?).

When Dan is not working, he enjoys hitting the gym and running, so the weekends are still active for him.  He also loves family walks, bike rides and watching his two sons play football on a Sunday for their local team.
